How do I get to the
Cité de la Musique?

From Paris or the Paris region:

  • > by underground: line 5, direction Bobigny-Picasso, exit at Porte de Pantin,
  • > by bus: lines 75, 151, PC2 and PC3 - Noctilien N13 - N41
  • > by car: underground parking available at Cité de la Musique

  • Vélib > Velib' stations: bicycle stations located opposite Café de la Musique, at the Conservatory and Porte de Pantin, www.velib.paris.fr.

From outside

  • > coming from Charles de Gaulle Airport: Take RER B, at Gare du Nord, transfer to line 5 direction Bobigny, exit at Porte de Pantin, approximate travel time: 45 minutes, ticket €8. By taxi, approximate travel time: 20 minutes, fare between €30 and €40.
  • > coming from Orly Airport: Take Orlyval express train to Antony station, transfer to RER B, at Gare du Nord, transfer to line 5 Bobigny, exit at Porte de Pantin, approximate travel time: 1 hour.
  • > from Gare de Nord or Gare de l'Est: take line 5 direction Pablo Picasso, exit at Porte de Pantin, approximate travel time 10 minutes.
  • > from Gare de Lyon: take line 1 direction La Défense, at Bastille, transfer to line 5 direction Pablo Picasso, exit at Porte de Pantin, approximate travel time 20 minutes.
  • > from Gare d'Austerlitz: take line 5 direction Pablo Picasso and exit at Porte de Pantin, approximate travel time: 15 minutes.
  • > from Gare Montparnasse: take line 4 direction Porte de Clignancourt, at Gare du Nord, transfer to line 5 direction Pablo Picasso, exit at Porte de Pantin, approximate travel time: 1 hour.

How do I get home?

  • > by bus: During the entire season, the Cité de la Musique offers a free bus service serving several locations in Paris (Gare du Nord, République, Hôtel-de-Ville, Luxembourg and Denfert-Rochereau) after every evening concert held at the concert hall.
    The bus may be used only by Cité de la Musique visitors, upon presentation of the day’s concert admission ticket (first come, first served).
  • > by taxi: A taxi station is available at 221 avenue Jean Jaurès.
  • > by underground: Line 5 is open until 1.00 AM
