From a music museum…
… to a «musical museum»!
The Musée de la musique presents 1000 musical instruments and artwork collections with an innovating scenography and many audio illustrations that will guide the visitors through 500 years of musical heritage. A lively tour! After two years of renovation, the Musée de la musique reopens on March 3rd 2009. The brand-new venue is organised into five spaces: first, a chronological journey through occidental music from the 17th to the 20th century, then a geographical presentation of extra-European music. The Museum also offers yearly temporary exhibitions on various topics and cultures, from the Middle Age to the present days.
