Disabled Visitors

Since its opening and in conformity with the law of 11 February 2005, the Cité de la Musique pays particular attention to making all its activities accessible to all members of the public.

In addition to ensuring access to all areas for the physically disabled, many cultural offers are available to disabled persons, whether alone or in groups, regardless of age (tactile visits with relief images in the Museum, loan of magnifying glasses in the Media Library, large print programme notes for concerts, etc.). These offers have been developed in consultation with individuals and associations for the disabled.

The staff of the Cité de la Musique has been trained to receive all members of the public and know how best to reply to the specific needs and projects of each and every one.

By making a selection according to the type of disability in the menu on the left, you will find the various offers concerning concerts, the museum, exhibitions, musical practice and the media library.

Concessions are offered to disabled persons and their assistants depending on the activity.

Public transport

• > Métro line 5
  Station: Porte de Pantin
  Physically disabled persons using the métro can use the escalator.
  Exit avenue Jean-Jaurès, parc de la Villette.
  Lift.
• > Bus 75, 151, PC2, PC3 The PC is accessible to physically disabled persons.

By car

• > From the peripheral highway, exit at Porte de Pantin.

Parking

• > Two reserved GIG/GIC parking places and a taxi stand are situated in the service road on the Avenue Jean-Jaurès, near the Café de la Musique.
• > Underground charged parking station: 10 places are reserved for the disabled, five on level –2 (Poulenc level) and five at level –3 (Debussy level). Exit using the lift. Access to the parking station is not permitted for vehicles with a height exceeding 1.90 metres (6 feet 3 inches).

Disabled toilet facilities

• > Disabled toilet facilities are located on the level of the Concert Hall, the Amphitheatre and the Media Library. The disabled toilet facilities in the Museum require assistance for opening the doors.
